Starting directly from our holiday home you can follow a little beck on its way
into the ravines of the romantic valley “Baybachtal”. Narrow paths lead you
on this adventurous hike through the pristine nature of the gorges all the way to
Burgen, a small town on the river Moselle.
On the way, the mill “Schmausemuehle” (www.schmausemühle.de)
provides a lovely opportunity for a little rest, some refreshments or maybe even a freshly caught
trout. High above the valley you can visit the castle ruin “Waldeck”.
Once you have reached the Moselle, the hiker’s bus will take you back to the Hunsrueck.
Or, if you still have enough energy, you can take one of the hiking trails and enjoy
the beautiful panoramic views.
There are many more gorges leading to the rivers Rhine, Moselle and Nahe,
as well as numerous beautiful hiking trails through forests and fields. Hiking guides
